【Incoming】Call for Nominations – NCKU College of Social Sciences Exchange Program (Application deadline: 2025/10/15)

Greetings from the College of Social Sciences, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan.

We hope this message finds you well.

We are pleased to invite your institution to nominate students for our upcoming Spring 2026 Exchange Program (February – June 2026 or Full Academic Year ).
Please find the nomination and application details below.

🔹 Nomination Deadline: October 15, 2025
🔹 Semester Duration: February – June 2026
Students who wish to apply for a full academic year (February 2026 – January 2027) are also very welcome.

🔁 Application Procedure:

  1. Nomination Submission
    Please complete and return the Nomination Chart by October 15, 2025.
    Note: Nominations must be submitted by the relevant office or coordinator at the home university to confirm institutional approval.

  2. Student Notification & Application Submission
    We will notify nominated students and request them to submit their application documents by October 30, 2025.

  3. College Review & Preliminary Results
    The College of Social Sciences will review all applications and send preliminary results by the second week of November.

  4. University-Level Admission & Confirmation
    Final admission letters will be issued around early December 2025.

📚 After Admission:

We will assign dedicated staff to support admitted students with:

  • Accommodation registration

  • Health check procedures

  • Campus check-in after arrival

Exchange students are required to take at least one course offered by their host department.
Other courses across departments may also be selected freely.
English-taught courses are available each semester — please refer to our Fact Sheet for details.

📂 Required Documents for Application:


1.Headshot Photo
Please provide a recent photo with a plain white background.

2.Official Enrollment Certificate
Issued by your home university.

3.Most Recent Official Transcript (in English)

4.Autobiography or CV

You may submit a short personal statement, a resume, or a combination of both.
It is preferable to focus on your academic background and learning experience.


5.Financial Statement Issued by a Bank or Financial Institution
This document should show that the student has at least NT$100,000 available for a full academic year, or NT$50,000 for one academic semester, to ensure they can financially support their exchange period.

6.Passport Information Page and National ID Certificate (if applicable)

7.Letter of Recommendation
The letter should include the referee’s full name and title, clearly printed.

8.Official Proof of English Language Proficiency
Applicants who are citizens of countries where English is the native language are exempt from this requirement.

Minimum English Requirement:

  • TOEFL iBT: 65

  • IELTS (Academic): 5.0

  • TOEIC: 660

Chinese proficiency is optional, but A2 or above on CEFR is recommended (B1 preferred).
